Governor Mao Leads Hunan Delegation to Visit the UK

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, led a Hunan delegation on a visit to the United Kingdom between April 2 and 4, 2025. This tour aimed to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, carrying forward the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries. Taking advantage of the positive momentum from stabilizing and improving bilateral relations, Hunan will expand opening up and cooperation, launch friendly exchanges, strengthen innovation and coordination, advance win-win partnerships through economy and trade, and promote people-to-people exchanges via culture and tourism linkage.

Chinese Ambassador to the UK Zheng Zeguang; HM Trade Commissioner for China and Hong Kong Lewis Neal; and, Hunan Provincial People's Government Secretary General Qu Hai attended.
